Description

Ashwagandha is also know as withania somnifera, or Indian ginseng. In Sanskrit Ashwagandha means “the smell of a horse,” suggesting that the herb imparts the vigor and strength of a stallion.* It is widely used in Ayurveda.

Ashwagandha belongs to the same family as the tomato, and is a shrub with oval leaves and yellow flowers. It has red fruit about the size of a chick pea. It is often called Indian ginseng because, like ginseng, ashwagandha is a non-specific tonic and adaptogen. Ashwagandha root rejuvenates without being over stimulating.*

We have pioneered a technology that combines lipophillic extracts, with hydrophilic extracts to create a new generation of extract that is very powerful but still able to be delivered in a vegetarian capsule.
